I think fluid text works well for phones and stuff where if you rotate the screen it flows nicely. The problem is huge displays-- I'm at like 2560x width.

Edit: A solution I think works okay is simply adding

    max-width: 500px;

to the css properties for p.

You're not maximizing your browser, are you?

The monitor my browser is on has 2560 width, but the client area of the browser window itself isn't much more than 1200 pixels wide. I keep terminals and the tree-style tabs to the left of the browser.

This seems like quite a hyperbolic statement.

And I've seen the exact opposite complaint from someone about a site that capped the text width.

You just can't win with people who have ridiculously-sized browser windows.
